What we like about St John and St Francis Church School
We inspire our children to reach their potential through perseverance, resilience and providing them with quality first teaching every day.
Our children persevere when things are challenging and work their way out – we celebrate everyone’s achievements.
At the beginning of Year 6 an Aspirations Week fires the children’s imagination and helps them look to the future.
We work closely with our parents who come into school and work with their children to help them achieve.
We showcase our end of topic work to celebrate our achievements.
Parents enjoy coming into school for Share a Story session, Christmas and Easter decoration making.
Parents are happy to approach teachers if they have a concern.
We have amazing green spaces within our school grounds that we use for Forest School and Outdoor learning as well as a variety of sporting events.
We have a Playpod to help the children develop social skills through play and a wide range of equipment to promote physical development.
Teamwork and supporting each other is at the heart of all we do. Our Christian Values of Friendship, Forgiveness, Kindness, Peace, Perseverance and Thankfulness are the essential ingredients that make St John and St Francis School a very special place to work and learn.
Our Enrichment afternoons every Friday allow children to choose the club they are interested in joining from Yoga, Multi-Sports, and Drama to Board Games, Sewing and Cookery. These change every half-term to allow children the opportunity to enjoy new experiences.
We value every child and celebrate their individuality, interests and uniqueness. Every child can achieve at St John and St Francis Church School.
